A Very Berry Favor

Hi everyone,
If your looking to save on wedding favors you may consider making your own. Not only will you save money but you will be giving your guests something handmade by you. What could be more personal. Maybe you have a family tradition and love to bake cookies or make homemade jam. Why not incorporate that special talent into your wedding favors…

Strawberry season will be here very soon. I don’t know about you but I love strawberries. I have a garden with strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. Every year we make jam. It’s a simple freezer jam recipe that is very yummy. All you need are the mason jars, certo, sugar and berries. Its easy to find different recipes on the internet. All you need to complete your jam is the decorative details with your wedding colours and a personal note.

Fudge is also another simple treat that you could make for your wedding favors. Maybe you could use Grandma's recipe.

Cookies are great and there are so many possibilities…. these are so cute!

For a challenge you may want to try something new and fun like cupcakes on a stick.

Of course all of these things can be bought and wrapped for a fee. In Ottawa and Gatineau we have so many talented people to help you with your baking needs.

I hope these ideas inspire you to find the perfect Favor for your guests.

Wedding Decor Segment 6: The Ceremony

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to complete a video blog post but thought that pictures could better show you the possibilites there are for your ceremony decor.

If your planning on a church wedding there are a few things you should look into. Depending on your religion and the church there maybe restrictions on decorations. Check with your priest or minister to find out what you are allowed to decorate before you begin planning your ceremony decor. Here are a few ideas that may help you to visualize what your ceremony could look like.

There are so many ideas out there for you to get inspiration from to create something completely your own.

If your planning an outdoor wedding ceremony let nature and your imagination guide you.

Have fun with your planning and don't be afraid to be creative!
